3 - 2 - 1 here I go!!!

Way back in September, I signed up for a Workshop given by none other than the talented Miss Mary Engelbreit. Well, the time has arrived and I will be jetting off to St. Louis, MO with my friend Cindy to attend this most amazing Workshop. I can't wait to get there - the anticipation is building . . . Barbara from Mary's Staff has been sending out "teaser" e-mails for awhile now, and the goodie bags alone should be enough to get me there. Wowee!!! My camera battery is charged up, my bags are almost packed, and I've gathered all of my class materials.

I'll be taking classes from Matthew Mead (who is coming out with a new Holiday Magazine), and Kari Meeng from French General. I'll be making a bracelet . . . hmmmm! I know, I know but I just love French General!!! I can't wait to share all my photos and experiences from this amazing show. Cindy and I are off to the party of the year!!! Watch out St. Louis, here we come!

I love what I do!!! Read on about a Special Gift!

The following is a wonderful post written by my friend Deb Kennedy from Retreat! She had a special project for me. I was honored to be able to create this special gift - read on . . .

I think it's probably safe to share this now...

I've been waiting until this gift makes its way to someone,

because I don't want to ruin the surprise!

But I'm dying to share it - so, here goes:

That sweet beachy-looking box above is headed to Texas.

Inside is a special gift...

I went on a treasure hunt a while back, to find charms.

Special charms, each with a special meaning.

I saved them up and then asked my friend Patricia

to use them to create a special piece of jewelry.

Patricia owns Tippy Stockton Custom Jewelry,

and she is a GENIUS!

This is the very special necklace that she created!

I am just so incredibly moved that my friend took my wish,

combined it with her talent and imagination,

and came up with something so perfect.

I could not love it more!

It's silver with pearls, and aquamarine that looks just like sea glass.

All of the silver charms I gave her are included,

and each has a special meaning. The little paper tag tells what the meanings are on one side, and on the other side, it says

'Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.'
I packaged it up nestled in a seashell.

You see, I had Patricia create this for Ashley,

the darling girl who is about to become our fourth daughter.

She's marrying our son on Friday of this week!

Joel & Ashley will be flying to Maui,

and saying their vows on the beach.

All of their family members will watch on a live webcam,

because this wedding is about them

I love the idea. It's just kind of hard to NOT be there!

At all three of our daughters' weddings,

I created the decor and flowers.

Wrapped in the stem of each of my daughters' bridal bouquets,

I placed some charms and a note to them. They still have them.

Since I can't do that for sweet Ashley,

I am sending this necklace instead.

A gift from Mom to Daughter,

for her wedding.

A day that I hope will be one more happy memory

that she can treasure always.
{and if she doesn't see this post before it arrives,
it should be a great surprise!}

Thank you SO MUCH, Patricia, for helping me do this!

My friends, if you want a custom creation for a bride

or a beautiful piece of ready-made jewelry for yourself,

please visit Patricia!

It's Show Time!!!

It's that time again . . . Show Season! Well sort of. Tippy Stockton is a guest vendor this weekend at Annie's on First in Snohomish, WA this weekend. Annie is celebrating her 5th Anniversary at her amazing corner location in downtown Snohomish. Also being featured at Annie's this Saturday is my friend and fellow designer, Kris Watkins of Cafe Couture. She has such an eye for style. You rock Kris - your display is fabulous.

Here's a few pics I took today after I got everything set up. Thanks Annie for letting me "steal" a few props from your amazing shop.

Lot's of new earrings girls - get them while they are HOT!!!

New necklaces for girls of all ages!!!

And, here's a few pictures I took of Kris' display. Great etched bottles, burlap shades on night lights, etched candle holders . . . So French, so pretty!

So, don't forget - the Open House is all day on Saturday, April 17. Giveaway's for the first 30 people through the door tomorrow morning. Drawings all day long. 20% off everything in the store (I already have a pile going), and so much more. Here's the details:

Oh, and one last thing! Have you heard of the Farm Chicks Show in Spokane? I'm a vendor this year and I can't wait. Here's a secret - my sweet friend Timi with Come Junk With Us is taking a junk junket (a lovely and cozy coach) over to Spokane for the weekend. All the details can be found on her website @ http://www.comejunkwithus.com. She will be selling tickets at Annie's on Saturday too. Join in on the fun, leave the driving to someone else, grab a couple of your best girls, and shop till you drop at one of the premiere Vintage and Antique Shows in all of America. So come on out to Annie's, make sure you say hello, and enjoy the day!
Mother's Day is still a few weeks away, but it's not too early to be thinking of this special person in your life. It's also the official kick off to "almost Summer". I love the soft and fresh colors of the season. Lot's of pink, some aqua, and a little violet thrown in for good measure. My Mother in Law loves violet, lavender and purple. I have just the earrings for her!
Head over to http://www.tippystockton.etsy.com and check out all of the new jewels that I've added in the last week. Don't you just love SPRING!!! I do.
