Road Trip

It's been a busy few months, and I decided that after my last show, which was my own Studio Tour and Summer Market here last weekend, I would take some time off. What does time off mean??? For me, it only means that I will not be doing any shows for the month of August. Truly, I have plenty of things on my plate, including getting (2) huge jewelry orders together for a couple of darling brides, plus I have the honor of creating and orchestrating the flowers and event for one of those special girls as she marries her Prince Charming. I am so excited to be doing a wedding again - I will most definitely be posting pictures of this event.

So taking time off means I get to play a little. I'm heading south this weekend to a little town near the Oregon border called Battleground. The famous Boys of Barn House are putting on a little shin-dig this weekend, and from what I've heard, I'd be CRAZY to miss it. So, I'm heading to Portland on Friday (let me know what places I should hit on Friday afternoon folks), then up bright and early on Saturday morning to hit the show. Some of my most favorite people will be there including: Retreat, Auntie Joy, of course BarnHouse, and so much more!

So, hello Portland . . . here I come! Check back soon for lots of pictures!!!

Monday, Monday and a busy week ahead!!!

It's kind of become part of my Summer routine . . . well for the past two years anyway. It seems that all I have to do is put a sign at the end of my street, and VOILA . . . they come in droves. This time though it's really special. I get to introduce and show off my new Studio. I know, it's been around for a year now, but it was finished up late last fall and I haven't had a chance to officially have it's unveiling. So I am excited as all get out to show you all where I spend my days (and some evenings) working. Yes WORK!!! I have the easiest commute, just steps away from home. I couldn't be more happy!!! I'm pitching the tent/awning too so I'll have lots of my goodies out for sale this Saturday. From fancy jewels to sophisticated totes, garden art to frenchy pillows . . . I'll have it all!!! Can't wait to see you. Email me with any questions @ tippystockton@aol.com. Off to work . . . ta ta~

Christmas in July . . .

As many of us are complaining about how hot it is outside, take a minute and really look at the photo above. That will be us in just a few short months; gathering with our families around the 'Ole Christmas Tree. What will be under your tree this year??? Well, I can help you with that. Every year ETSY hosts a Christmas in July Sale. So, being that it's my first year selling on ETSY, I thought I would jump on that bandwagon. So starting today, Thursday, July 15, everything in the shop is ON SALE. All of my jewels are priced 25% off their original prices, and even some of the newest items are on sale. (Everything is priced with the discount in place, so no need to contact me beforehand). Have fun, Merry Christmas and Happy Summer!

Sale ends on Thursday, July 22, so get them while they're hot . . .

Baby, it's HOT Outside

IT'S A HEATWAVE . . . while the temperatures have cooled a bit, it's a HOT time at Tippy Stockton. ETSY is sponsoring their 3rd Annual Christmas in July Sale next week. So, I decided since I have my Studio Tour and Summer Market here on 7/24, I would kick off this ETSY Sale a little early. So, from today, 7/11 through 7/18, take 20% off of anything in my shop. (Sales does not include my already reduced items). Here's how it works . . . you can send me a note letting me know what you would like; I will send you a reserved listing with the corrected amount, or you can purchase as usual, and I will issue you a purchase credit through PayPal. Just write "Hot Summer Sale" in notes to seller at checkout, or send me a note. However you like. As an added incentive, spend $100 after discounts are applied, and I will send you a pair of my Barcelona Earrings (Lucky Magazine's Fall Pick on ETSY last October, and my most popular earring).
Enjoy the savings . . . enjoy Summer!

IT happened last night . . .

Yesterday, July 1 was one of those days that don't come along very often. Awhile back I had asked a friend of mine if she would come and photograph my Studio, perhaps TRY to get a decent shot of me, and shoot some of my jewelry for an upcoming Holiday Ad that I'm doing. Well, let me tell you, Tiffany (The Fancy Farmgirl) came dressed in boots, camera in tow, a couple of chickens in her van, and a full head of steam ready to dig in. We chatted a little bit about "the look" I was after and then she just dove in. The weather was crappy - rainy but not too horribly gray that we couldn't get good light. She managed to get a couple of pics of me and she got a ton of my sweet Studio. I don't have the finished pieces yet, but rest assured, when I do I will be showing it off. She totally nailed my Ad as well - Tiffany is a people photographer and things on a much larger scale than my little earrings and bracelets. Yet, she was able to capture the perfect angle. I'm so happy and YES, I will be sharing that as well very soon.
But it's what happened after the photo shoot . . . I couldn't bear to send Tiffany out onto the freeway at the beginning of a holiday weekend. So I knew that she has some folks up my way that would love to see her. So I planned a little garden party. I was so excited to gather this fun and creative group of women together and we laughed the night away. We did have a "boys" table too for the 3 guys who tagged along. Unfortunately, they missed all the fun!

Judy, Laura, Debi, and Timi sharing a glass of wine!

Laura, Lissa, and Lisa

Kimberly and Tiffany . . . no lessons on photo taking for these girls. They're pro's!

So, it bears repeating . . . what are my favorite colors??? Tippy blue and red of course!

And just so you didn't think I was lying about the chickens . . .

The rain stayed away long enough for us to have dinner and dessert. I was full from a lovely meal, great conversation, and lots of laughs. Here's to good friends, old and new!

It's a Kick-Off to Summer Sale . . .
and you're invited!!!
Everything in the Kick-Off to Summer Sale Section is already reduced by 30%, so shop to your hearts content. You don't have to worry about an adjusted invoice, or a reimbursement by me - just SHOP!!!
I'm making room for some great pieces that will slowly show up next week.
