Winter Whites

With a proverbial sigh, I can honestly tell you that I've actually had time to sit down (without a crochet hook in hand), put my feet up, and read some magazines. I actually reduced the fire risk in our home by 50%. After scouring my fav's. and pulling out photos, articles and yummy recipes, they hit the recycle bin yesterday. Country Living Magazine just happened to be in my mailbox yesterday and it was quite interesting. After the liveliness of Christmas with all the red and green, I'm ready to tone it down a bit. I love white . . . reminds me of snow, I guess. It's calming and clean. So, I would recommend that if you want a good dose of white, pick up a copy of Country Living at your newsstand. It's full cover to cover with white.

Apparently, I really like to design jewelry in white as well. So let's have a "Winter White" Giveaway! Tell me what you like, love, or perhaps dislike about Winter and enter to win a $25 gift certificate @ Tippy Stockton. Leave a comment here on my blog and then blab about it to your friends via Facebook and Twitter for extra entries. And if you're really adventurous, sign up to follow my blog and I'll give you 2 extra entries! I will pick a random winner on Sunday, January 9, let's say by 5:00pm EST.

Douce Saison Earrings - $32
Turnpike Earrings - $34

Petals in the Snow - $32

Good luck, and have fun!

  1. I know what you mean about the magazines. I just can't seem to part with my Southern Living mags. I love them!!

...Hmm, i love the snow, NOT ice, that we get every now and then in central North Carolina. I don't like the havoc that it wreaks on my Southern town! Us Southerners can't drive in the snow yet we feel the need to get out and do so anyway. :)

  6. I love winter. I loved it growing up in MN, I loved it living in the mountains of MT, UT, and OR -- and I love it in CA too! We have no snow, but my lemon trees look amazing! It's a great time to slow down a little, wear all your great scarves -- and finally go through stuff piling up in the house!

  8. Love the snow if I can stay home. Snow+Seattle+Driving=6hrs on the road for a normal 20 minute drive. I bought the white mad men necklace, can't stop wearing it around the house! LOVE IT!
