It's a HOLIDAY Giveaway

Yup, that's right!  It's my birthday . . . on Monday, November 18.  I came into the world on a cloudy day in West Islip, New York.  It was a joyful day as I was the firstborn child to my parents, Patrick (Joe), and Ann (Betty) Kelly.  Even though I think my Daddy really wanted a boy, I was the apple of his eye, his Patty Ann.  Through the years, my Mom always made MY day special - she would make these crazy chocolate kiss corsages that had coins and dollar bills dangling off of it.  I remember being embarrassed the first time I wore it to school on my birthday thinking that my friends would think I was a dork, but it soon passed when they all asked my Mom to make one for them.  I love that memory.

So let's have a GIVEAWAY - what better way to celebrate my birthday than by giving you all a shot at winning some fabulous prizes.  And right before Christmas and all . . .
on Monday, I'll be giving away (2) $50 shop credits and (1) $100 credit to be used any way you like, just as long as you use it before 12/31/13.

Here's how we're going to do it.  Write your favorite birthday memory here, and pick one of the following collages as your favorite by simply answering with the corresponding letter - A, B, C, etc.

  9. I have many birthday memories. Just like others I, too, had the wonderful Barbie birthday cake and trips to the zoo. My birthday is May 1st. May Day.
I always loved that. I remember when I was seven walking home from school with my lovely May basket for my mom. I saw her on the front porch watching for me. I hid my basket behind my back as she went back inside. I was able to hang the basket on the doorknob, ring the bell, and hide around the corner of the house. She acted so surprised. I love that she did that for me.

I have trouble choosing only one photo. I love them all! But I think that I will go with C.

    Happy Birthday Wishes to you!

  10. Happy Birthday Patricia! I think the birthday I remember the best is when I turned 7 and had an all girl party at my house. We played games, at cake and had Kool Aid, and of course there were gifts. The best part of the day was the fact that there were more girls in the house than boys - I have 3 older brothers, so the house always seemed to be overrun by boys!!

I love all of your jewelry, but I guess my favorite is "A"

    Enjoy YOUR Birthday celebration!

  11. Birthday wishes to you! (You share it with my brother!)
My favorite birthday memory was in 9th grade when my mom threw me a surprise party. We had just moved to Seattle from California two months before, and I was really missing my friends. But my mom made me realize I had friends in our new city, too. That was in 1979!
    I'm in love with C!

  12. My favorite birthday memory is of my 6th birthday, the beautiful red winter coat I got that year (with the fabulous 'fur' trim) and the banana cake with chocolate frosting that my Mom made for me. It became my 'go to' cake from then on. Every year she would ask me what kind of cake I would like on my special day and I always would ask for it. It made all my birthdays special and is a memory that is near and dear to my heart.

  13. Ohhh I have a few memorable birthdays, but I'd have to say this last birthday would have to be the most memorable... a week long celebration getting to surprise one of my best friends whom is fighting stage 4 Lung cancer & has never been to Disneyland. We started off her surprise with a scavenger hunt to find her tickets. Friends & Family had donated & funded this entire trip just for her! We had an amazing time & to top off the trip, we got to dine in Club33! It was truly a birthday I will always remember :) F. The Christmas Necklace... it's gorgeous!

  14. Happy Birthday! Glad you are surrounded by the love of your boys. It is interesting how we each carry our faith. Rosaries provide me with a sense of peace too.

My favorite birthday memory is when my husband and I spent the day at Pike's Place in Seattle. Just the two of us holding hands and sharing all the flowers, the food, the people, and the artwork. There is nothing like a birthday full of love.

  15. Happy birthday Patricia! I have so many great childhood birthday memories, but, I think my best memory so far was my 30th! My husband and I decided to take a roadtrip down Hwy 101 to the Redwoods..... and decided to just keep on driving to San Francisco!! It was the best trip and was a special birthday! ♥

  16. Favorite Birthday memory... I have a few, but I'm going with sweet 16. My mom took me into the city for a weekend of shopping and hanging out. No brothers, just her, my dad, and I. I was in a punk/"alternative" phase and while she broke down and bought me a long trench like coat, she made sure it was well made, well tailored, and accented with a lovely red & black herringbone scarf! It was such a classic mom move! As much as I wanted to rebel, I had to admit, it was a much better look than my original plan. My mom died a year later. Birthday's have never been quite the same, but I'm working on it. :) There's a lovely little person in my life that makes them much brighter! Of course, I love the skater necklace! (And I still have the scarf -- somewhere!)

  19. I pick F
I have happy memories of having house parties when I was around 4 and 5. We rarely had visitors and it was so much fun to have all the neighborhood kids over to celebrate my birthday.

  20. My favorite birthday was my 23rd. I woke up to a rose on my bed, a homemade cd and a note telling me to get up, dressed and head to Starbucks. When I got there, I found a friend with a rose, a coffee, and another note/clue. My love sent me on a scavenger hunt all over town and to many of our friends homes to find clues and birthday wishes. The cd played "our songs" and matched each place I went. The last clue led me to the park, where I followed a trail of rose petals. I found my love, with a huge smile and a dozen more roses waiting for me. We walked and talked about my best friends wedding later that day, in which I was to be a bridesmaid. We walked down to the dock and that's when he proposed to me. 6 years later, we have 3 beautiful babies! We usually have a dinner or lunch with our friends and celebrate together :)
    I like C!
