Spring Fling

I've had the distinct honor to get to know a wonderful man (and his lovely wife) who is an icon in the design world . . . Matthew Mead. I met he and Jenny at the Mary Engelbreit Workshop last April in St. Louis. I had been following him for awhile though; not a full-fledged stalker follower, but I never missed a magazine that had is name on it. So last Christmas I was entered into a contest to win a space in his Holiday magazine. I won, and my gorgeous Noel Bracelet graced the pages of Matthew's inaugural magazine. So why wouldn't Matthew continue spreading lovely design all across this land? In just a few short weeks, his new Summer Magazine will be available to purchase through his website. I hope that you'll treat yourself to something so very special. But in the meantime, enjoy gazing at this beautiful collage above that was a present from Matthew himself.

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day is nearly here. What plans do you have??? I'll be attending a graduation. My son Kellan is going to be a college graduate and I couldn't be more proud. It's going to be weird though - he's been in school now for over 17 years, and now he gets to go out into the big world. I know that my own Mom would be so very proud too of her oldest grandchild. They had a bond like no other.

I'm heading to the Islands . . .

While I really WISH I was heading to "the ISLANDS", as in the Caribbean Islands, I'll be heading north to Anacortes to participate in the

Island Chicks Show.

I'm so excited to catch up with my other "Show" friends . . . a time to laugh and chat about the upcoming show season. So if you live here in Western Washington, please stop by and see me. When I began this journey 2 years ago, I really never imagined where I would go or even where I would be in such a short time. I feel blessed beyond belief, humbled, and proud that out of a tragedy I could pick myself up, brush myself off, and start all over again. The other exciting news is that I am about to hit a ginormous milestone (well for me it is) over at my ETSY shop. 500 SALES. FIVE ZERO ZERO . . . who knew! It just seems like yesterday that I was proudly announcing my 400th sale.

So it wouldn't be a milestone without a special present for my 500th SALE. Will it be you? I'm not going to tell you what the present will be . . . let's just say that it will be BIG!
