For as long as I can remember, I have had a love affair with fabric. My first job was working at a small fabric store in Morton, Illinois. I loved the feel of silk, the simplicity of cotton, and most especially loved working with wool. So much so that I entered a Pendleton wool suit I had made in the Illinois State Fair. I won a first place ribbon for my age category and skill level. By then, I was pretty impressed with myself. I sewed for a long time on my Mom's Singer sewing machine until I could afford to buy my own. It wasn't long after I began working that I was able to save up enough money for my first Singer machine. I sewed many miles on that machine. I have since had two Bernina's and a serger that my Mother-in-law gave me.
So I decided it was time to launch a new website: Tippy's Textiles and Stuff or http://www.tippystextilesnstuff.etsy.com/. I'm working on my photographs but I think with a few more sunny days, I will have this website up and running in early July.
You will also see some of my other favorites here - lavender sachets, odds and ends glass (I admit, I also love anything glass - plates, vases, and anything hobnail or Vintage). So this will be a funky little website full of things that I have repurposed, found Vintage items, things that I have crafted in paper and fabric. I think you will love it as much as I have loved getting all of this together.
Stay tuned . . .
Well that's super exciting! :0) Couldn't get the link to work but I'm assuming it's just not live yet. Good luck with getting things set up. How fun! Blessings, Katy
ReplyDeleteCongrats Patricia! Sorry I missed you at the store the other day. I was doing our annual field fest at my home, the LAST event of a very long exhausting month!
ReplyDeleteTake care and thanks for the new inventory of Tippy Stockton Jewelery.
XOXO
